Raiden's "The Storm's Arrival" fatality sound redesign exercise.

Not exactly a sound redesign, but more of an attempt to """emulate""" and honor the original masterpiece and learn from it.

Mortal Kombat has always held a special place in my gamer's heart since I was a child. I used to play it on the original Nintendo Game Boy Classic, and its iconic sounds still resonate in my mind. Their style has always been a major reference and a goal to achieve in my career—the perfect rhythm and cadence, the amazing timbral balance, the unmatched dynamics and clarity, the memorability and enjoyability of every impact...I could go on forever, really.

On top of that, electricity is my favorite element to work with in sound—and also the one that scares me the most for some reason 😅

Enough talking. Here’s my take on one of the coolest fatalities in MK1. I hope you enjoy it 😊
